The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 2nd minute, one of Deportivo Azul:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Deportivo Azul. When the match had been going on for 5 minutes, TEMPERLEY A.C.T.'s Edgardo Galsino got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Serafin Gorka. 9 minutes into the match, Deportivo Azul's Dionisio Bartoli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Epifanio Goren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lino Ponc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Serafin Gorka tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dionisio Bartoli struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Epifanio Goren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Azul. After a rather tough play, TEMPERLEY A.C.T.'s Edgard Lleir got a free kick in the 18th minute. When Abel Harriet, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 19 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Epifanio Goren was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Abel Harriet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Dionisio Bartoli came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Deportivo Azul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dionisio Bartoli couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Lino Ponc kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Serafin Gorka. That made the score 2-0 in the 26 minute of play. In the 28th match minute, Deportivo Azul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rolando Domenec to maneuver through the defense. Edgardo Galsino shot from long distance in the 30th minute, but Serafin Gorka was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Epifanio Goren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dionisio Bartoli in the 32nd minute of play. Honorato Guzman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Serafin Gorka tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Harriet in the 44th minute of play forced TEMPERLEY A.C.T.'s goalkeeper Epifanio Goren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Abel Harriet made the kick off in the second half. Dionisio Bartoli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Epifanio Goren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 58 minutes into the match, Deportivo Azul's goal looked a bit too open when Lino Ponc came free, but Serafin Gorka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 62 minutes into the game, Lino Ponc cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Serafin Gorka was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Abel Harriet's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Epifanio Goren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Abel Harriet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Epifanio Goren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Serafin Gorka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lino Ponc, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Filomeno Santana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafin Gorka having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Azul's zone, Lino Ponc stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Serafin Gorka came out of the goal and Lino Ponc tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dionisio Bartoli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Epifanio Goren made a huge save. In the 86th minute, Lino Ponc left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The TEMPERLEY A.C.T. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. The supporters of Deportivo Azul booed when TEMPERLEY A.C.T. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Lleir didn't get a good kick on the ball. Deportivo Azul's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
