An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Azibar in the 24th minute of play forced Deportivo Azul's goalkeeper Serafin Gorka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Orzaize struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Serafin Gorka didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cordona AFC. Aureliano Abeita helped the player get up and apologised. In the 40th match minute, Cordona AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aureliano Abeita to maneuver through the defense. Cristian Orzaize might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Serafin Gorka. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Deportivo Azul's players were relieved.

Cordona AFC's Cornelio Arixo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Cordona AFC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Cordona AFC's Aureliano Abeita got a free kick in the 97th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Cordona AFC had played much better football throughout.
