After 24 played minutes, Iguazú AFC's Feliciano Matteo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Israel Pinto came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Iguazú AFC reached it. In the 26th minute, Enzo Gonza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Israel Pinto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Lorenzo Pabla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Alejo Eutor charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alejo Eutor the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Ladislao Domeka came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Valhalla FC fans jumped to their feet. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enzo Gonza in the 72nd minute of play forced Valhalla FC's goalkeeper Israel Pinto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Valhalla FC booed when Iguazú AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Boni didn't get a good kick on the ball. 77 minutes into the game, Lorenzo Pabla was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Iguazú AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Valhalla FC the free kick.
