Feliberto Lluques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabricio Rufo in the 14th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Comunidad de Pituseros's goal looked a bit too open when Fabricio Rufo came free, but Feliberto Lluques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Celso Cordara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Feliberto Lluques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Feliberto Lluques showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. La Chota fc's Fabricio Rufo got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Norberto Esquipula had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Fabricio Rufo managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Chota fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabricio Rufo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Feliberto Lluques breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 38 minutes, Pedro Oroitz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Comunidad de Pituseros and the La Chota fc players grew even worse after the yellow card. Pedro Oroitz kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Fabricio Rufo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Romulo Sanchez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Edelmiro Oxarra made a huge save. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Norberto Esquipula was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the La Chota fc defense, Norberto Esquipula kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edelmiro Oxarra. The La Chota fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edelmiro Oxarra should have stopped the shot. The supporters of La Chota fc booed when Comunidad de Pituseros was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Oroitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th match minute, Comunidad de Pituseros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Lehen to maneuver through the defense. When Pedro Oroitz was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 74 minutes had been played. After 75 played minutes Comunidad de Pituseros got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Oroitz. If Romulo Sanchez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Romulo Sanchez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Comunidad de Pituseros's supporters rose to their feet, but Romulo Sanchez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. For all the effort they put into the match, the La Chota fc players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
