In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo Bowen FC's goalkeeper Ernesto Gau, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 10th minute of the match, Dante Moise got a very nice opportunity to score, but Amador Quico was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ariel Martxelin hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. A collision led to Deportivo Bowen FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Abel Lluciano hit a great ball. When Deportivo Bowen FC's Ezequiel Rey in 20 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Amador Quico guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Amador Quico stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ezequiel Rey's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Dante Moise fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amador Quico having to interfere. Herrera's Amador Quico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ezequiel Rey in the 33rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abel Lluciano during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 36 played minutes Deportivo Bowen FC got a freekick which was hit by Abel Lluciano. Guillermo Baleren took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ernesto Gau. Deportivo Bowen FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Amador Quico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ezequiel Rey in the 40th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Bowen FC's zone, Baldomero Galo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernesto Gau came out of the goal and Baldomero Galo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ezequiel Rey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Amador Quico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Herrera were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ezequiel Rey stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Herrera got a freekick which was hit by Baldomero Galo. In the 52nd minute, Ezequiel Rey ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Amador Quico was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Amador Quico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ezequiel Rey in the 62nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Dante Moise managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Bowen FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dante Moise was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amador Quico breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 66 minutes into the match, Herrera's goal looked a bit too open when Ezequiel Rey came free, but Amador Quico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Deportivo Bowen FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 69th minute, when Edgard Berart scored to the left of an out of position Ernesto Gau, making the score, 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Edgard Berart managed to get in a good position for a shot. Herrera's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgard Berart was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernesto Gau breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
