The crowd rose to their feet as Clodoveo Lixandro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gustavo Abechuco. That made the score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Maza AFC's zone, Norberto Pueblo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustavo Abechuco came out of the goal and Norberto Pueblo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 13 minutes in the game, Norberto Pueblo fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Gustavo Abechuco having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, Caseros's Clodoveo Lixandro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gustavo Abechuco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 19th minute, Jacinto Toribio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Norberto Pueblo came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Caseros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Norberto Pueblo couldn't finish the play. Norberto Pueblo took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gustavo Abechuco. Gustavo Abechuco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Venancio Xacintu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nicolas Guipuzkoa having to make a save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Norberto Pueblo struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Gustavo Abechuco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caseros. Caseros's Nicolas Guipuzkoa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Fidensio in the 65th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norberto Pueblo in the 69th minute of play forced Maza AFC's goalkeeper Gustavo Abechuco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Victorio Regis fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caseros's protests and gave Victorio Regis a yellow card for diving instead. In the 76th minute, Victorio Regis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edgard Formerio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Nicolas Guipuzkoa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Maza AFC's Paolo Locaio got a free kick in the 85th minute. Gustavo Abechuco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clodoveo Lixandro, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. A collision led to Maza AFC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Santos Gorka hit a great ball. If Norberto Pueblo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute.
