Gavilán's defense didn't have a chance, in the 25th minute, when Elvio Cristofol scored to the left of an out of position Ladislao Giro, making the score, 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ovidio Garaile got free with Ladislao Giro in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fabricio Norino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ladislao Giro having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Elvio Cristofol fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ladislao Giro, passed just outside the right post. In the 34th minute, Aristides Hori hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gavilán's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Pedro Bingen in the 37th minute. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Elvio Cristofol took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Ladislao Giro to make any attempt to save it. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

In a very dangerous position, a player in Inti fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 59th minute. Penalty! Ladislao Giro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabricio Norino in the 70th minute of the match. 74 minutes into the match, Jonas Favila notched a goal, 4-3, to the right of Gavilán's Ladislao Giro. Ladislao Giro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Inti's Miromir Dejo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristobal Piearres in the 79th minute of play. 80 minutes into the game, one of Inti:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 82 minutes, Gavilán's Pedro Bingen got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Miromir Dejo. The audience was convinced that Elvio Cristofol's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ladislao Giro was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. When Nicolas Darien fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gavilán's protests and gave Nicolas Darien a yellow card for diving instead.
