Gogo Valente charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gogo Valente the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Severiano Otsoko was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 9 minutes into the match. In the 9th minute, one of Challacó:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Challacó. In the 11th minute there was a penalty for Valladolid FC. Dante Chano stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Teodoro Inautzi. 0-1. In the 16th minute Luciano Ireno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Inautzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teodoro Inautzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baldomero Kauldi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Luciano Ireno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valladolid FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Luciano Ireno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teodoro Inautzi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 24th match minute, Challacó was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by German Urre to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Baldomero Kauldi in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teodoro Inautzi saved Challacó from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baldomero Kauldi in the 30th minute of play forced Challacó's goalkeeper Teodoro Inautzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Luciano Ireno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 33 minutes into the match, Challacó's goal looked a bit too open when Baldomero Kauldi came free, but Teodoro Inautzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antonio Etxatxu hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Valladolid FC's Dante Chano tried to score from far away in the 36th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Federico Dubardo hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. 41 minutes into the match, Challacó's goal looked a bit too open when Luciano Ireno came free, but Teodoro Inautzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Baldomero Kauldi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute Baldomero Kauldi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Inautzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luciano Ireno in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teodoro Inautzi prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Baldomero Kauldi was the one to do the kick off. Teodoro Inautzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baldomero Kauldi in the 54th minute of play. Luciano Ireno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lorenzo Sauveur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luciano Ireno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodoro Inautzi having to interfere. Cipriano Bertran scored 1-1 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bimo Abissay, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Baldomero Kauldi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute Baldomero Kauldi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Inautzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Valladolid FC's Luciano Ireno slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Teodoro Inautzi. That made the score 1-3 after 85 minutes of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 91st minute of the game. One of Challacó:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Valladolid FC:s goal. Valladolid FC's Baldomero Kauldi got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
