The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silvano Cordero might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ruben Cesario. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Silvano Cordero ran back to his position shaking his head. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Manuel Ipar made the kick off in the second half. When Placido Ibon fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Føroyar Juniors's protests and gave Placido Ibon a yellow card for diving instead. Ruben Cesario stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Manuel Ipar's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Cristobal Abarca made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Rodrigo Tabby sent off a good shot on target. In the 88th minute Rodrigo Tabby suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. Andres Rios's late challenge caught a Føroyar Juniors's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andres Rios helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Føroyar Juniors booed when Lazo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andres Rios didn't get a good kick on the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Placido Ibon dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cristobal Abarca, 1-1. In the 98th minute, Placido Ibon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristobal Abarca was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Føroyar Juniors's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
