The supporters of Føroyar Juniors booed when Duendes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidoro Arnau didn't get a good kick on the ball. Omar Iratze shot from long distance in the 19th minute, but Teobaldo Nafarroa was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Ruben Cesario showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Arnau, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After having played for 21 minutes, Luciano Ordono managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Duendes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luciano Ordono was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nicasio Gora's late challenge caught a Føroyar Juniors's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicasio Gora helped the player get up and apologised. Ruben Cesario showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luciano Ordono in the 27th minute of the match. Luciano Ordono received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Ruben Cesario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Isidoro Arnau struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Ruben Cesario didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Duendes. If Rodrigo Tabby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Duendes's supporters rose to their feet, but Luciano Ordono was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ruben Cesario breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
