Aurelia FC's Jesus Llorienzo got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Narciso Koldobika showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvano Artaldo in the 4th minute of the match. newells old boys's Narciso Koldobika played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvaro Darien in the 9th minute of play. Alvaro Darien fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narciso Koldobika having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Aurelia FC's goalkeeper Adan Egun had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Damaso Primeiro. Alvaro Darien received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Narciso Koldobika tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, newells old boys's Anier Alonso got a free kick in the 16th minute. Jesus Llorienzo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Damaso Primeiro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of Adan Egun when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Damaso Primeiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adan Egun. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Damaso Primeiro ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alvaro Darien in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Narciso Koldobika prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Anastasio Uxio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Adan Egun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, newells old boys's goal looked a bit too open when Alvaro Darien came free, but Narciso Koldobika reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Aurelia FC's zone, Anastasio Uxio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adan Egun came out of the goal and Anastasio Uxio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The supporters of newells old boys booed when Aurelia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Honorio Tohias didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aurelia FC's Adan Egun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anastasio Uxio in the 58th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Aurelia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Anastasio Uxio came free, but Adan Egun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Damaso Primeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Adan Egun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Casimiro Bernad's late challenge caught a newells old boys's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Casimiro Bernad helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Aurelia FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Casimiro Bernad hit a great ball. If Damaso Primeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Damaso Primeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Adan Egun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arnulfo Endura hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, newells old boys's Victoriano Bero tried to score from far away in the 70th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Adan Egun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damaso Primeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Silvano Artaldo's late challenge caught a newells old boys's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Silvano Artaldo helped the player get up and apologised. After 72 played minutes Aurelia FC got a freekick which was hit by Silvano Artaldo. Narciso Koldobika showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jesus Llorienzo in the 76th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the match, Alvaro Darien had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Narciso Koldobika. newells old boys's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alvaro Darien was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Florentino Guzman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Aurelia FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
