After having played for 4 minutes, Ruben Gregory managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trancas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ruben Gregory was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Trancas's Francisco Mazuste got a free kick in the 6th minute. After 9 played minutes Trancas got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Regis. Arturo Gombal might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Antonio Llope. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arturo Gombal ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 12th minute, Ernesto Pero fired a really elegant long shot, but Antonio Llope threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arturo Gombal in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antonio Llope prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Arturo Gombal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Matheu FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Arturo Gombal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antonio Llope breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 22nd minute Ruben Gregory shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victorio Emeterio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Matheu FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ruben Gregory came free, but Victorio Emeterio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Matheu FC's Saverio Urtsua got a free kick in the 30th minute. 34 minutes had been played when some careless play by Matheu FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Francisco Mazuste was slow to take the kick. During this time Trancas's players had a chance to rest. Matheu FC's Ildefonso Gartzea got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ildefonso Gartzea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Llope having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ruben Gregory to strike the kick off in the second half. Victorio Emeterio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruben Gregory in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 54th minute, Ruben Gregory got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rodrigo Hanot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Matheu FC's Victorio Emeterio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruben Gregory in the 57th minute of play. When Anibal Eguzki fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Matheu FC's protests and gave Anibal Eguzki a yellow card for diving instead. After 60 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Matheu FC! Francisco Mazuste walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Antonio Llope made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Gombal in the 66th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Trancas's goal looked a bit too open when Arturo Gombal came free, but Antonio Llope reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Florencio Sazon hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 70th minute, Ernesto Pero sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Trancas's Antonio Llope didn't even have to move. Ruben Gregory received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Victorio Emeterio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arturo Gombal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Llope having to interfere. Baldomero Canor charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Baldomero Canor the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 81st minute, Baldomero Canor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ruben Gregory sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
