But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juan Oxarra couldn't finish the play. Vicente Bautista kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, El Pela FC's Vicente Bautista sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Blas Azeari narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 15 minutes, Lucio Menendo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DOPING POSITIVO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucio Menendo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vicente Bautista struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Blas Azeari didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Pela FC. With a little luck, El Pela FC's Raul Berart got control of the ball when Lucio Menendo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the DOPING POSITIVO defense, Baldomero Niguel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Blas Azeari. The DOPING POSITIVO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Blas Azeari should have stopped the shot. In the 31st minute Baldomero Niguel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blas Azeari saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, El Pela FC's Raul Berart got control of the ball when Lucio Menendo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Blas Azeari stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vicente Bautista's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. In the 42nd minute, Baldomero Niguel made a precise shot to the right of Blas Azeari. DOPING POSITIVO's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After the first half El Pela FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Blas Azeari showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baldomero Niguel in the 58th minute of the match. Vicente Bautista could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Blas Azeari made a huge save. Vicente Bautista blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Blas Azeari having to make a save. Baldomero Niguel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blas Azeari having to interfere. If Vicente Bautista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Lucio Menendo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mateo Bartuelo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baldomero Niguel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Blas Azeari tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Baldomero Niguel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Raul Berart showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucio Menendo in the 90th minute of the match. Mateo Bartuelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Raul Berart tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Mateo Bartuelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in DOPING POSITIVO's zone, Vicente Bautista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Blas Azeari came out of the goal and Vicente Bautista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. El Pela FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
