After 7 minutes, Fermin Chucho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Estudiantes F. C. and the El Pela FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of El Pela FC booed when Estudiantes F. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fermin Chucho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Godofredo Primo kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Estudiantes F. C.'s Aquiles Urtsin got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 15 minutes into the match, El Pela FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ovidio Chayo came free, but Raul Berart reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raul Berart made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ovidio Chayo in the 17th minute of play. After 19 minutes of play, Estudiantes F. C.'s Angel Ayala made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Raul Berart was left in no man's land by his defense there! Zeledon Iraitz came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by El Pela FC's Vicente Bautista. But to his dismay, Vicente Bautista quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Vicente Bautista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeledon Iraitz having to interfere. During the 27th minute of the match Fermin Chucho completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Fermin Chucho a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Estudiantes F. C. booed when El Pela FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baltasar Admon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ovidio Chayo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Raul Berart tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ovidio Chayo in the 43rd minute of play forced El Pela FC's goalkeeper Raul Berart to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angel Ayala struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Raul Berart didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Estudiantes F. C.. Angelino Froylan charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Angelino Froylan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Baldomero Niguel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, El Pela FC's Laureano Isaio got a free kick in the 53rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Baltasar Admon during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to El Pela FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Baltasar Admon hit a great ball. Ovidio Chayos short, quick shot in the 59thth minute got Raul Berart to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Vicente Bautista might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zeledon Iraitz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vicente Bautista ran back to his position shaking his head. If Baldomero Niguel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th match minute, Estudiantes F. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aquiles Urtsin to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Vicente Bautista managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Pela FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vicente Bautista was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zeledon Iraitz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Florentino Figueroa fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Estudiantes F. C.'s protests and gave Florentino Figueroa a yellow card for diving instead. Vicente Bautista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baldomero Niguel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Zeledon Iraitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in El Pela FC's zone, Ovidio Chayo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raul Berart came out of the goal and Ovidio Chayo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ovidio Chayo hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Vicente Bautista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Zeledon Iraitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vicente Bautista might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zeledon Iraitz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vicente Bautista ran back to his position shaking his head. Baldomero Niguel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zeledon Iraitz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
