Ovidio Eutropio made in the 7th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Saladero FC's Froilan Karmel. Gavino Eskuin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iker Servando in the 13th minute of the match. Pedro Reno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guillermo Santikurtz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Guillermo Santikurtz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saladero FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Guillermo Santikurtz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Reno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Saladero FC's Diego Niva got a free kick in the 28th minute. Guillermo Santikurtz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Pedro Reno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by David Galeno during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. It was a brilliant solo performance by Saladero FC's Guillermo Santikurtz when he shot the ball into the net to 1-0 in the 39th minute. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alfonso Otsando to strike the kick off in the second half.
