With his leg Jimeno Shantala managed to avoid a goal in the 17thth minute, when ELZORROTEAM's Iker Servando fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. ELZORROTEAM's Pedro Reno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dalmacio Ruy in the 19th minute of play. Alfonso Otsando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Jimeno Shantala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 26 played minutes Capioví got a freekick which was hit by Higinio Arnau. With a little luck, Capioví's Jimeno Shantala got control of the ball when Iker Servando tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Capioví's goalkeeper Jimeno Shantala, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfonso Otsando in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jimeno Shantala saved Capioví from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iker Servando got free with Jimeno Shantala in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alfonso Otsando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimeno Shantala having to interfere. 42 minutes into the game, ELZORROTEAM's Iker Servando nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jimeno Shantala made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 47th match minute, Capioví was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodosio Presebal to maneuver through the defense.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Omar Henry made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Alfonso Otsando managed to get in a good position for a shot. ELZORROTEAM's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfonso Otsando was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jimeno Shantala breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 57 minutes into the match, ELZORROTEAM's goal looked a bit too open when Omar Henry came free, but Pedro Reno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Everardo Rios during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Pedro Reno yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. If Teodosio Presebal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute Omar Henry shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Reno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Omar Henry in the 94th minute of play forced ELZORROTEAM's goalkeeper Pedro Reno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Omar Henry sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 100 minutes into the match, ELZORROTEAM's goal looked a bit too open when Omar Henry came free, but Pedro Reno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Capioví players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for ELZORROTEAM.
