Jacobo Batista came out of the goal and Robustiano Egoitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elvio Paio couldn't finish the play. Narciso Quirze hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Marcelino Austin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elvio Paio in the 88th minute. In the 92nd minute, one of Ataliva:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ataliva. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
