When Leoandmat's Alejandro Oinaz in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Leoandmat's Aquiles Joanes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esteban Nazario in the 40th minute of play. Alejandro Oinaz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Hawkins booed when Leoandmat was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amado Hechter didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Esteban Nazario stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baltasar Alfonso in the 52nd minute of play forced Leoandmat's goalkeeper Aquiles Joanes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Leoandmat booed when Hawkins was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidro Iaki didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Leoandmat defense, Esteban Nazario kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aquiles Joanes. The Leoandmat fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aquiles Joanes should have stopped the shot. After having played for 93 minutes, Esteban Nazario managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hawkins's supporters crossed their fingers, but Esteban Nazario was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alejandro Oinaz was extremely unlucky when he, in the 96th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out.
