Spectators: 6666 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1666, VIP seats: 0) Victor Jobo started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Quequén FC's Santos Oro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Orlan in the 4th minute of play. 7 minutes into the game, Fulgencio Platon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Quequén FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Los Diablos Rojos the free kick. Ovidio Sazon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santos Oro having to interfere. In the 11th minute, Arnoldo Amor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 15 minutes into the match, Paulo Orlan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Santos Oro. Quequén FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paulo Orlan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 19th minute Victor Jobo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto Polo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Victor Jobo in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacinto Polo saved Los Diablos Rojos from getting behind. Jacinto Polo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar Jeraldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute, Ovidio Sazon made a precise shot to the right of Santos Oro. Quequén FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Paulo Orlan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Santos Oro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulo Orlan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Santos Oro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. After the first half Los Diablos Rojos were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Paulo Orlan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Santos Oro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guido Matxin during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 55th match minute, Quequén FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guido Matxin to maneuver through the defense. In the 58th minute of the match Los Diablos Rojos got a corner. Quequén FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jose Piearres ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Los Diablos Rojos's Jose Piearres to fire away a dangerous shot which Santos Oro despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jacinto Polo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Jobo, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Santos Oro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ovidio Sazon in the 68th minute of the match. Paulo Orlan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Los Diablos Rojos's Ovidio Sazon got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
