San lorenzo's Isaias Ubendu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octavio Quinto in the 15th minute of play. Alfredo Lico hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Octavio Quinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, San lorenzo's Daniel Abascal got a free kick in the 19th minute. Froilan Patxi was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 27th minute. San lorenzo's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 30 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Rojo for ever! Alfredo Lico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in San lorenzo's zone, Octavio Quinto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isaias Ubendu came out of the goal and Octavio Quinto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Isaias Ubendu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergio Astigar in the 48th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Sergio Astigar made the kick off in the second half. Daniel Abascal's late challenge caught a Rojo for ever's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Daniel Abascal helped the player get up and apologised. Isaias Ubendu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergio Astigar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paulino Tano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaac Misael having to interfere. Froilan Patxi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Isaac Misael read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Froilan Patxi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paulino Tano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Isaac Misael having to make a save. Paulino Tano scored 2-1 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Isaac Misael, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Octavio Quinto made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 82ndth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Isaias Ubendu would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. San lorenzo's Froilan Patxi got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 85 minutes into the game, Rodolfo Aurken was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rojo for ever's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave San lorenzo the free kick. Rodolfo Aurken hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Octavio Quinto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Isaias Ubendu having to make a save. For all the effort they put into the match, the Rojo for ever players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for San lorenzo.
