In the 12th minute, Aaron Eneko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Diamante FC's zone, Haroldo Osorio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Egon Kvist came out of the goal and Haroldo Osorio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to FC LIONS getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Anselmo Lertxun hit a great ball. In the 26th minute Haroldo Osorio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egon Kvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aaron Eneko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When FC LIONS's Haroldo Osorio in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Diamante FC's goalie prevented a goal. Egon Kvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aaron Eneko, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Aaron Eneko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th match minute, Diamante FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodoro Canor to maneuver through the defense. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gregorio Ascencio to strike the kick off in the second half. Sergio Maurin charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. FC LIONS's supporters rose to their feet, but Haroldo Osorio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Egon Kvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Teodoro Canor during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Diamante FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Teodoro Canor hit a great ball. After 70 minutes of play, FC LIONS's Haroldo Osorio made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Egon Kvist was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Aaron Eneko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aaron Eneko struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Egon Kvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC LIONS. If Aaron Eneko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gregorio Ascencio kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Egon Kvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haroldo Osorio in the 94th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. FC LIONS had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
