After a defensive mix-up in vampiros negros FC's zone, Ovidio Sazon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Justino Pio came out of the goal and Ovidio Sazon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Los Diablos Rojos booed when vampiros negros FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severino Calvet didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th match minute, vampiros negros FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guaberto Oihan to maneuver through the defense. Ovidio Sazon received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Justino Pio came out and tried to block the shot, but Ovidio Sazon slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 13th minute. After some careless play in the Los Diablos Rojos defense, Clemente Cisco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacinto Polo. The Los Diablos Rojos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacinto Polo should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, vampiros negros FC's Justino Pio got control of the ball when Paulo Orlan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jacinto Polo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clemente Cisco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Los Diablos Rojos getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Arnoldo Amor hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Cai in the 34th minute of play forced Los Diablos Rojos's goalkeeper Jacinto Polo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ovidio Sazon in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Justino Pio saved vampiros negros FC from getting behind. In the 38th minute, Paulo Orlan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Justino Pio was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After 46 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Los Diablos Rojos! The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Ovidio Sazon made the kick off in the second half. Clemente Cisco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 59th minute Alfredo Cai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto Polo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Cai in the 64th minute of play forced Los Diablos Rojos's goalkeeper Jacinto Polo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jacinto Polo made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Clemente Cisco sent off a good shot on target. Alfredo Cai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 74 minutes of play, Los Diablos Rojos's Paulo Orlan made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Justino Pio was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Alfredo Cai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Los Diablos Rojos's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
