Amador Atarrabi started the match with the kick off. After 3 played minutes Domingos Manuelo rounded Fogonera AFC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Abel Xacintu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esteban Oalo in the 8th minute of play. 10 minutes into the game, Fogonera AFC's Amador Atarrabi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Abel Xacintu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Dennehy AFC's Abel Xacintu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amador Atarrabi in the 14th minute of play. Generoso Sesuldo hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Dennehy AFC's Abel Cordero got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 25th minute of the match Dionisio Pierres shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abel Xacintu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After having played for 29 minutes, Marcial Quintana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dennehy AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcial Quintana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Fogonera AFC's goalkeeper Severiano Orlandus, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Severiano Orlandus made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Marcial Quintana sent off a good shot on target. Esteban Oalo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Xacintu having to interfere. Abel Xacintu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amador Atarrabi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcial Quintana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severiano Orlandus having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 43rd minute by Domingos Manuelo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 46 played minutes Fogonera AFC got a freekick which was hit by Sixto Ado. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Domingos Manuelo was the one to do the kick off. Maximiliano Guillelmo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Severiano Orlandus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcial Quintana, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. A collision led to Dennehy AFC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Domingos Manuelo hit a great ball. Amador Atarrabi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Severiano Orlandus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcial Quintana, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Marcial Quintana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Severiano Orlandus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, Dennehy AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Sixto Ado came free, but Abel Xacintu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute, Marcial Quintana left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dennehy AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Severiano Orlandus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domingos Manuelo in the 83rd minute of the match. Amador Atarrabi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Marcial Quintana came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Dennehy AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcial Quintana couldn't finish the play. Marcial Quintana's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Severiano Orlandus read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. Fogonera AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
