Spectators: 7208 (Terracing: 5408, Seating: 1657, VIP seats: 143) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Arnulfo Vito took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute Arnulfo Vito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgardo Rubio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 5th minute, Arnulfo Vito ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edgardo Rubio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonas Berasko in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edgardo Rubio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joel Orlin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ovidio Isaio in the 16th minute. After a defensive mix-up in La Makina F.C.'s zone, Jonas Berasko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgardo Rubio came out of the goal and Jonas Berasko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 23rd minute, Nicanor Tomi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ovidio Isaio in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joel Orlin saved Boca Juniors from getting behind. Arnulfo Vito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Edgardo Rubio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Jonas Berasko managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boca Juniors's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonas Berasko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgardo Rubio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 35th minute Arnulfo Vito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgardo Rubio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonas Berasko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgardo Rubio having to interfere. Arnulfo Vito struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Edgardo Rubio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boca Juniors. La Makina F.C.'s Edgardo Rubio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnulfo Vito in the 42nd minute of play. Jacinto Eguen kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Boca Juniors were awarded a corner in the 46th minute after La Makina F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lorenzo James took the corner. Arnulfo Vito's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edgardo Rubio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play.

Joel Orlin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcelo Phelipe's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. 54 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Phelipe came free, but Joel Orlin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st minute, Ovidio Isaio made a precise shot to the right of Joel Orlin. Boca Juniors's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 65th minute, Arnulfo Vito reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Edgardo Rubio. The goal made the score 1-2. When Ovidio Isaio fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Makina F.C.'s protests and gave Ovidio Isaio a yellow card for diving instead. After 70 played minutes La Makina F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Ovidio Isaio. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Joel Orlin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nicanor Tomi hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Jonas Berasko managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boca Juniors's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonas Berasko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgardo Rubio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edgardo Rubio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnulfo Vito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnulfo Vito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gonzalo Diegotxe kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arnulfo Vito in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edgardo Rubio saved La Makina F.C. from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Arnulfo Vito's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edgardo Rubio was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Edgardo Rubio acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 87th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Lorenzo James. Ovidio Isaio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Orlin having to interfere. The Boca Juniors supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Boca Juniors would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
