The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Saverio Mikeldi charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After a rather tough play, Avestruz FC's Benito Mingo got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Jeremias Austin hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Avestruz FC's Arnaldo Fernendo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saverio Mikeldi in the 41st minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Feliciano Dalmau made the kick off in the second half. When Cecilio Rico came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Avestruz FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cecilio Rico couldn't finish the play. Arnaldo Fernendo made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Saverio Mikeldi sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Saverio Mikeldi got free with Arnaldo Fernendo in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 73rd minute of the match, Guido Maiorga tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Arnaldo Fernendo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Feliciano Dalmau managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bomba & Murra's supporters rose to their feet, but Feliciano Dalmau was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnaldo Fernendo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arnaldo Fernendo made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Saverio Mikeldi sent off a good shot on target. Edelmiro Hanni shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Mauricio Orlan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cecilio Rico, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Cecilio Rico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauricio Orlan having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Avestruz FC had played much better football throughout.
