In the 6th minute Gonzalo Sendoa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Xacintu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dennehy AFC's Abel Xacintu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonzalo Sendoa in the 11th minute of play. Gonzalo Sendoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 16 minutes of play, Messi FC's Gonzalo Sendoa made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abel Xacintu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dennehy AFC's Abel Xacintu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ismael Bartoli in the 28th minute of play. After 28 played minutes Dennehy AFC got a freekick which was hit by Baldomero Tonio. Abel Xacintu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gregorio Afonso in the 29th minute of the match. Ismael Bartoli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Xacintu having to interfere. In the 33rdth minute of the game Gonzalo Sendoa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dennehy AFC's Abel Xacintu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Iaki in the 38th minute of play forced Dennehy AFC's goalkeeper Abel Xacintu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute, Ismael Bartoli left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Messi FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Domingos Manuelo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Dennehy AFC's goalkeeper Abel Xacintu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ismael Bartoli. If Ismael Bartoli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 57 minutes into the match, Dennehy AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Gonzalo Sendoa came free, but Abel Xacintu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abel Xacintu was a little too slow when Gonzalo Sendoa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 59th minute. The score was now 1-3. In the 69th minute, Haroldo Mattin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ismael Bartoli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Abel Xacintu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, Messi FC's Ismael Bartoli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Abel Xacintu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Delmar Turi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Xacintu having to interfere. Abel Xacintu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonzalo Sendoa in the 87th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Dennehy AFC's zone, Gonzalo Sendoa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abel Xacintu came out of the goal and Gonzalo Sendoa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 91st minute Gregorio Afonso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Xacintu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Delmar Turi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Xacintu having to interfere. Messi FC played a much better game than Dennehy AFC and deserved their victory. The Dennehy AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
