Spectators: 6663 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jacobo Mikolas started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victorio Iratxo in the 3rd minute of play forced Freire AFC's goalkeeper Cornelio Nevada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 6 minutes into the match, Freire AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Victorio Iratxo came free, but Cornelio Nevada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victorio Iratxo in the 11th minute of play forced Freire AFC's goalkeeper Cornelio Nevada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Con esta's Victorio Iratxo in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Con esta's Ronny Van Bever played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacobo Mikolas in the 31st minute of play. Cornelio Nevada stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aurelio Rodas's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Cornelio Nevada came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Con esta's Aurelio Rodas. But to his dismay, Aurelio Rodas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After having played for 41 minutes, Victorio Iratxo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Con esta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victorio Iratxo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Aurelio Rodas came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Con esta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aurelio Rodas couldn't finish the play. Cornelio Nevada stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aurelio Rodas's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. The audience was convinced that Victorio Iratxo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cornelio Nevada was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. After the first half Con esta were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

If Victorio Iratxo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 59 minutes into the match, Freire AFC's goalkeeper Cornelio Nevada had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aurelio Rodas. The crowd rose to their feet as Con esta's Victorio Iratxo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cornelio Nevada. That made the score 0-2 after 61 minutes of play. Con esta's Victorio Iratxo got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Albano Escobar's late challenge caught a Con esta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albano Escobar was shown his second yellow card after 80 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 80th minute, Albano Escobar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Victorio Iratxo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aurelio Rodas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cornelio Nevada having to interfere. Cornelio Nevada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victorio Iratxo in the 91st minute of play. Con esta played a much better game than Freire AFC and deserved their victory. The Freire AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
