When Carolina FC's Candido Policarpio in the 4th minute got a chance for a shot 4th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mar Azul FC's goalie prevented a goal. 6 minutes into the match, Mar Azul FC's goal looked a bit too open when Candido Policarpio came free, but Leonel Flores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Candido Policarpio in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonel Flores saved Mar Azul FC from getting behind. Leonel Flores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Candido Policarpio in the 12th minute of the match. After 14 played minutes, Carolina FC's Lázaro Gartzea shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Leonel Flores came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Carolina FC reached it. Leonel Flores stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Candido Policarpio's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Mar Azul FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tobias Patxi came free, but Leonel Flores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Celso Montxo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgardo Mark sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 28 played minutes, Carolina FC's Lázaro Gartzea shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Leonel Flores came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Carolina FC reached it. Generoso Hernando kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Candido Policarpio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gaston Gau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgard Aguirre, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Leonel Flores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tobias Patxi in the 41st minute of the match. In the 43rd minute Candido Policarpio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonel Flores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46th minute of the match Lázaro Gartzea shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leonel Flores showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Gaston Gau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celso Montxo in the 52nd minute of play. Tobias Patxi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Leonel Flores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, Edgardo Mark dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Leonel Flores, 0-1. Celso Montxo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Gaston Gau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 64 minutes, Candido Policarpio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carolina FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Candido Policarpio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leonel Flores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgardo Mark, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. When Celso Montxo came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Mar Azul FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celso Montxo couldn't finish the play. Gaston Gau came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Mar Azul FC's Edgard Aguirre. But to his dismay, Edgard Aguirre quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 86 minutes into the game, Matias Romano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mar Azul FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carolina FC the free kick. Matias Romano hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Lázaro Gartzea took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 89th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Leonel Flores. Mar Azul FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Carolina FC's German Rubio got a free kick in the 92nd minute. In the 94th minute of the match Jairo Lawrence shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gaston Gau showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
