Horacio Domiku's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leonel Flores read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. If Celso Montxo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Nestor Jurgi fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mar Azul FC's protests and gave Nestor Jurgi a yellow card for diving instead. Arsenio Tolino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgard Aguirre, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Celso Montxo might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arsenio Tolino. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Celso Montxo ran back to his position shaking his head. When Edgard Aguirre fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mar Azul FC's protests and gave Edgard Aguirre a yellow card for diving instead. In the 25th match minute, Mar Azul FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgard Aguirre to maneuver through the defense. Horacio Domiku sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Mar Azul FC's Generoso Hernando got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mar Azul FC's goalkeeper Leonel Flores, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 30 minutes, Jacinto Perez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gorostiaga AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacinto Perez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Celso Montxos short, quick shot in the 35thth minute got Arsenio Tolino to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Evelio Jeraldo during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Evelio Jeraldo kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Gorostiaga AFC's Arsenio Tolino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Gorostiaga AFC from getting a goal against them. Celso Montxo struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Arsenio Tolino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mar Azul FC. Arsenio Tolino was a little too slow when Edgard Aguirre got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 44th minute. The score was now 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jacinto Perez made a kick off. Horacio Domiku's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 51stth minute, Leonel Flores skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Arsenio Tolino stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Celso Montxo's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. In the 67thth minute of the game Edgard Aguirre who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gorostiaga AFC's Arsenio Tolino was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Edgard Aguirre managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mar Azul FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgard Aguirre was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arsenio Tolino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Mar Azul FC's Celso Montxo in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gorostiaga AFC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 77th minute, Gorostiaga AFC's Jacinto Perez dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Jacinto Perez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mar Azul FC's Leonel Flores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto Perez in the 93rd minute of play. The Gorostiaga AFC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Mar Azul FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
