After 24 played minutes Franco Canadiense FC got a freekick which was hit by Amancio Hodei. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabio Antonangeli in the 26th minute of play forced Ciénaga's goalkeeper Fulgencio Pierres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 81 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Fabio Antonangeli sped through Ciénaga's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fulgencio Pierres.
