With an extended leg and a bit of luck Natalio Ilixo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Teofilo Goren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcelino Santio's late challenge caught a Ascochinga AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcelino Santio helped the player get up and apologised. Fermin Urtungo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 14th match minute, Ascochinga AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fermin Urtungo to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute of the match Amador Gartxot sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Natalio Ilixo skillfully saved the ball. Natalio Ilixo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabio Antonangeli in the 17th minute of play. Fabio Antonangeli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Natalio Ilixo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fermin Urtungo kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 24th minute by Victorio Fe got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Fabio Antonangeli struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Natalio Ilixo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Franco Canadiense FC. In the 40thth minute of the game Fabio Antonangeli who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ascochinga AFC's Natalio Ilixo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Natalio Ilixo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabio Antonangeli's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. After some careless play in the Ascochinga AFC defense, Fabio Antonangeli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Natalio Ilixo. The Ascochinga AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Natalio Ilixo should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabio Antonangeli to make the kick off. Natalio Ilixo had in the 91stth minute some difficulties stopping Amador Gartxot's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Fabio Antonangeli scored 0-3 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Natalio Ilixo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Franco Canadiense FC's Alberto Todor got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match was over Franco Canadiense FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ascochinga AFC throughout the match.
