Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Fernan Innocenzio started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfredo Duardo in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aquilino Giraldo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Sportivo Mirasol getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Lisandro Sandaili hit a great ball. Julio Cordero's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 27thth minute, Rigoberto Erasto skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fernan Innocenzio in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rigoberto Erasto saved Sportivo Mirasol from getting behind. 31 minutes into the game, Fernan Innocenzio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rigoberto Erasto. Fernan Innocenzio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Duardo in the 34th minute of play forced Gracias Chano's goalkeeper Aquilino Giraldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernan Innocenzio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rigoberto Erasto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alfredo Duardo to make the kick off. When Zeledon Herensuge fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gracias Chano's protests and gave Zeledon Herensuge a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Gracias Chano fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 51st minute. Penalty! Fernan Innocenzio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Rigoberto Erasto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Cordero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rigoberto Erasto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. If Fernan Innocenzio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute, one of Sportivo Mirasol:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sportivo Mirasol. 86 minutes into the match, Sportivo Mirasol's goal looked a bit too open when Julio Cordero came free, but Rigoberto Erasto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Fernan Innocenzio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Julio Cordero came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Gracias Chano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julio Cordero couldn't finish the play. Rigoberto Erasto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernan Innocenzio, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Guido Todor hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Alfredo Duardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Aquilino Giraldo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gualterio Salomon charged in rather forcefully in the 98th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gualterio Salomon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 98th minute, Gualterio Salomon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 99 minutes into the match, Sportivo Mirasol's Rodolfo Ixaka sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aquilino Giraldo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Gracias Chano fully deserved thier win.
