Spectators: 7198 (Terracing: 5400, Seating: 1655, VIP seats: 143) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Flavio Urbes took the kick off in the first half of the match. With a little luck, Itacaruaré AFC's Ismael Romelio got control of the ball when Serafino Henrico tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Damian Dolfos during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Julian Eleazar hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Itacaruaré AFC's Ismael Romelio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavio Urbes in the 16th minute of play. A collision led to Itacaruaré AFC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Nicolas Ralondo hit a great ball. In the 18th minute, Serafino Henrico got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Serafino Henrico could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Ismael Romelio made a huge save. Eusebio Urtzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Serafino Henrico recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lorenzo Oliviero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusebio Urtzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After 27 played minutes MSG got a freekick which was hit by Ariel Berenguer. The supporters of MSG booed when Itacaruaré AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolas Ralondo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Itacaruaré AFC's zone, Flavio Urbes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ismael Romelio came out of the goal and Flavio Urbes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 34 minutes, Ermegildo Ereinotz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Itacaruaré AFC and the MSG players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ermegildo Ereinotz hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tobias Santo in the 37th minute of play forced MSG's goalkeeper Lorenzo Oliviero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute Eusebio Urtzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lorenzo Oliviero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Eusebio Urtzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tobias Santo to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, MSG's goalkeeper Lorenzo Oliviero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tobias Santo. Serafino Henrico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the MSG defense, Eusebio Urtzi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lorenzo Oliviero. The MSG fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lorenzo Oliviero should have stopped the shot. If Tobias Santo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tobias Santo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Lorenzo Oliviero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serafino Henrico in the 73rd minute of play forced Itacaruaré AFC's goalkeeper Ismael Romelio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ismael Romelio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flavio Urbes in the 74th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Itacaruaré AFC's zone, Serafino Henrico stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ismael Romelio came out of the goal and Serafino Henrico tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ermegildo Ereinotz hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Serafino Henrico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Itacaruaré AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Itacaruaré AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
