Sarmiento de junin's Gonzalo Asteri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernan Innocenzio in the 10th minute of play. Gonzalo Asteri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernan Innocenzio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Gracias Chano booed when Sarmiento de junin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaudencio Jusepe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fernan Innocenzio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gonzalo Asteri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Fernan Innocenzio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gonzalo Asteri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernan Innocenzio in the 24th minute of play. If Fernan Innocenzio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 31 minutes of play, Gracias Chano's Julio Cordero made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gonzalo Asteri was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Sarmiento de junin's zone, Fernan Innocenzio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gonzalo Asteri came out of the goal and Fernan Innocenzio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julio Cordero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gonzalo Asteri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. If Filiberto Nisio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Filiberto Nisio's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 43rdth minute, Aquilino Giraldo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Donato Olivar charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Donato Olivar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 43 played minutes Gracias Chano got a freekick which was hit by Donato Olivar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aristides Nisio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Fernan Innocenzio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gonzalo Asteri. Fernan Innocenzio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. 57 minutes into the match, Gracias Chano's goal looked a bit too open when Aristides Nisio came free, but Aquilino Giraldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 60 played minutes Gracias Chano got a freekick which was hit by Guido Todor. Salvador Ourente kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Lázaro Laurentzi hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 68th minute, Lázaro Laurentzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gonzalo Asteri acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 68th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Rene Gaufred. Sarmiento de junin's Gaudencio Jusepe suffered a concussion after 76 minutes and had to leave the field. 76 minutes into the game, Zeledon Herensuge was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gracias Chano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sarmiento de junin the free kick. A collision led to Gracias Chano getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Zeledon Herensuge hit a great ball. 79 minutes into the game, Fernan Innocenzio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gracias Chano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sarmiento de junin the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernan Innocenzio in the 83rd minute of play forced Sarmiento de junin's goalkeeper Gonzalo Asteri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Gracias Chano getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Guido Todor hit a great ball. Filiberto Nisio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Cordero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Gonzalo Asteri made a huge save. Julio Cordero struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Gonzalo Asteri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gracias Chano. Julio Cordero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Gonzalo Asteri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gracias Chano's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
