In the 10thth minute of the game Fernan Innocenzio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but River Plate's Urbano Rios was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 15 minutes into the game, Gualterio Salomon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gracias Chano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave River Plate the free kick. A collision led to Gracias Chano getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Gualterio Salomon hit a great ball. After 17 minutes of play, River Plate's Gerardo Erauso made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aquilino Giraldo was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 23rd minute, Julio Cordero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Urbano Rios was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luis Daunte in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aquilino Giraldo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Urbano Rios showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernan Innocenzio in the 32nd minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, Julio Cordero notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of River Plate's Urbano Rios. Urbano Rios was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernan Innocenzio in the 37th minute of play forced River Plate's goalkeeper Urbano Rios to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Urbano Rios made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernan Innocenzio in the 40th minute of play. 45 minutes into the game, Fernan Innocenzio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Urbano Rios. Fernan Innocenzio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1.

In the 51stth minute of the game Fernan Innocenzio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but River Plate's Urbano Rios was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 55th minute, Luis Daunte ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aquilino Giraldo was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. After 59 played minutes River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Aldo Peio. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernan Innocenzio in the 60th minute of play forced River Plate's goalkeeper Urbano Rios to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. River Plate's Gerardo Erauso got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Guido Todor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fernan Innocenzio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Urbano Rios tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 85 played minutes River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Roman Urtats. In the 86th minute of the match Rene Gaufred shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Urbano Rios showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Fernan Innocenzio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gracias Chano's Fernan Innocenzio got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 92nd minute Fernan Innocenzio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Urbano Rios saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
