After 22 minutes of play, Sarmiento de junin's Aristides Nisio made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lorenzo Oliviero was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Filiberto Nisio came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Sarmiento de junin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filiberto Nisio couldn't finish the play. MSG's Lorenzo Oliviero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aristides Nisio in the 30th minute of play. After 32 minutes of play, Sarmiento de junin's Lázaro Laurentzi made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lorenzo Oliviero was left in no man's land by his defense there! Flavio Urbes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Gonzalo Asteri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Flavio Urbes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gonzalo Asteri. The goal made the score 1-2. Edgardo Montxo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gonzalo Asteri. Sarmiento de junin's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The wind increased when Aristides Nisio made the kick off in the second half. Flavio Urbes struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Gonzalo Asteri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MSG. MSG's Serafino Henrico got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 61 played minutes MSG got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Lore. After a defensive mix-up in MSG's zone, Filiberto Nisio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sarmiento de junin's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When Miguel Lore came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the MSG fans jumped to their feet.
