Gerardo Erauso really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. 15 minutes into the game, Alberto Chorche was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cholulo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave River Plate the free kick. After 15 played minutes Cholulo FC got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Chorche. River Plate's Adan Gabino shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 16th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Benedicto Marques but with some difficulty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelio Eneas in the 18th minute of play forced River Plate's goalkeeper Urbano Rios to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cholulo FC's Benedicto Marques proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Cholulo FC from getting a goal against them. Cholulo FC's Aurelio Eneas got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Alberto Chorche was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 24 minutes had been played. Luis Daunte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedicto Marques having to interfere. 37 minutes into the game, Placido Abad was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The referee gave Placido Abad a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of River Plate booed when Cholulo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Placido Abad didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cholulo FC were furious when Ambrosio Silbestre was red carded, 57 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Luis Daunte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Benedicto Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. River Plate were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Cholulo FC for a fine match.
