Cecilio Manilan struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Prudencio Pelayo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atletico San Martin. If Eliseo Peruanton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 15 minutes into the match, Portalis's goalkeeper Prudencio Pelayo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cecilio Manilan. Prudencio Pelayo came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atletico San Martin's Cecilio Manilan. But to his dismay, Cecilio Manilan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Cecilio Manilan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Prudencio Pelayo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Cecilio Manilan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Prudencio Pelayo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After having played for 33 minutes, Generoso Gustau managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Portalis's supporters crossed their fingers, but Generoso Gustau was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Generoso Gustau in the 36th minute of play forced Club Atletico San Martin's goalkeeper Urbano Hitzeder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute, Generoso Gustau left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Portalis fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. If Cecilio Manilan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eliseo Peruanton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Generoso Gustau to make the kick off. Cecilio Manilan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prudencio Pelayo having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, Generoso Gustau dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Urbano Hitzeder, 2-2. 59 minutes into the match, Portalis's goal looked a bit too open when Cecilio Manilan came free, but Prudencio Pelayo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Prudencio Pelayo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Peruanton in the 60th minute of play. In the 64th minute, Eliseo Peruanton left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Atletico San Martin fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Ariel Tiniebra kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Honorio Timo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prudencio Pelayo having to interfere. Prudencio Pelayo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Peruanton, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Portalis's zone, Cecilio Manilan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Prudencio Pelayo came out of the goal and Cecilio Manilan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alejandro Tiso's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 78thth minute, Urbano Hitzeder skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Urbano Hitzeder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Generoso Gustau in the 81st minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Vicente Goren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A nice corner shot did that Evaristo Llanos got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Prudencio Pelayo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Eliseo Peruanton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Club Atletico San Martin walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
