Le Classique's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave San Martin FC the free kick. The supporters of San Martin FC booed when Le Classique was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvano Sugoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cleto Hermelando's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rigoberto Tiniebra read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. After 22 played minutes San Martin FC got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Ospetsu. In the 27th minute Cleto Hermelando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rigoberto Tiniebra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Artemio Grabiel's late challenge caught a Le Classique's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Artemio Grabiel helped the player get up and apologised. After 32 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for San Martin FC! In the 39th minute Cleto Hermelando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rigoberto Tiniebra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Mario Furman came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the San Martin FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mario Furman couldn't finish the play. Rigoberto Tiniebra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cleto Hermelando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Filomeno Jokin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute of the match Leopoldo Lope shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nicolas Lopes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cleto Hermelando was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in San Martin FC's zone, Cristian Kinsen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicolas Lopes came out of the goal and Cristian Kinsen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 56 minutes into the match, Le Classique's goal looked a bit too open when Filomeno Jokin came free, but Rigoberto Tiniebra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 59 minutes in the game, Clodoveo Rosalio fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Rigoberto Tiniebra having to interfere. Cleto Hermelando came free with the goalkeeper in the 60th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Rigoberto Tiniebra could save by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Le Classique's zone, Clodoveo Rosalio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rigoberto Tiniebra came out of the goal and Clodoveo Rosalio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Cleto Hermelando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The San Martin FC fans' excitement grew in the 68th match minute when San Martin FC's Octavio Jaen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Clodoveo Rosalio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cleto Hermelando in the 74thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rigoberto Tiniebra, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 75th minute, Cleto Hermelando ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rigoberto Tiniebra was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. After 78 played minutes Le Classique got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Kinsen. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Mario Furman sped through Le Classique's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rigoberto Tiniebra. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Cleto Hermelando managed to get in a good position for a shot. San Martin FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cleto Hermelando was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rigoberto Tiniebra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Celestino Enmanuel kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Clodoveo Rosalio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. San Martin FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
