Portezuelo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severiano Eguzki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bernardo Gelmiro during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 16 played minutes Tabay FC got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Gelmiro. Aurelio Edorta, 16 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Portezuelo FC's Clemente Cheche got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Cristobal Sol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute, Aristides Eyague made a precise shot to the right of Isaac Benitez. Portezuelo FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Portezuelo FC's Isaac Benitez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Portezuelo FC from getting a goal against them. Aristides Eyague sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aristides Eyague could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Isaac Benitez made a huge save. When Clemente Cheche came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Portezuelo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clemente Cheche couldn't finish the play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Severiano Eguzki made the kick off in the second half. Isaac Benitez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristobal Sol, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. During the 54th minute of the match Bernardo Gelmiro completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Bernardo Gelmiro a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 54 played minutes Tabay FC got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Gelmiro. Severiano Eguzki was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 62nd minute. Portezuelo FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 65th match minute, Tabay FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristobal Sol to maneuver through the defense. Severiano Eguzki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Clemente Cheche struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Eloy Pes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Portezuelo FC. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Aristides Eyague managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tabay FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Aristides Eyague was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isaac Benitez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Severiano Eguzki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out.
