In the 20th minute, Carolo Pueblo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mario Furman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Cleto Hermelando managed to get in a good position for a shot. San Martin FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cleto Hermelando was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miguel Quinteros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Mario Furman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cleto Hermelando might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Miguel Quinteros. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cleto Hermelando ran back to his position shaking his head. Clodoveo Rosalio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. San Martin FC had played much better football throughout.
