In the 6th minute Reynaldo Martxel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeo Pasqual saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Real Betis defense, Osvaldo Andrea kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amadeo Pasqual. The Real Betis fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amadeo Pasqual should have stopped the shot. Fabio Justin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Conrado Abaunza made a huge save. 11 minutes into the match, Arequito AFC's goalkeeper Conrado Abaunza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabio Justin. When Pascual Remicio came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Real Betis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pascual Remicio couldn't finish the play. Osvaldo Andrea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Amadeo Pasqual tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reynaldo Martxel struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Amadeo Pasqual didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arequito AFC. Osvaldo Andrea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Real Betis booed when Arequito AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filomeno Lain didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes in the game, Mariano Walme fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Conrado Abaunza having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Walme in the 29th minute of play forced Arequito AFC's goalkeeper Conrado Abaunza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabio Justin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Conrado Abaunza made a huge save. In the 34th minute, Andres Mikeldi sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Real Betis's Amadeo Pasqual didn't even have to move. After a defensive mix-up in Real Betis's zone, Andres Mikeldi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. In the 43rd minute Andres Mikeldi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeo Pasqual saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Real Betis's Amadeo Pasqual played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Martxel in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mariano Walme to strike the kick off in the second half. Angel Bermudez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 57th minute, Arequito AFC's Raul Elequemedo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Amadeo Pasqual. Amadeo Pasqual yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Angel Bermudez hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 69th minute of the match Lino Galsino shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Conrado Abaunza showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Angel Bermudez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Conrado Abaunza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arequito AFC's Conrado Abaunza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Walme in the 76th minute of play. Amadeo Pasqual was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Osvaldo Andrea showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 77 minute of play. After 81 played minutes Arequito AFC got a freekick which was hit by Cyril Villeret. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Walme in the 85th minute of play forced Arequito AFC's goalkeeper Conrado Abaunza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86th minute, Fabio Justin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Real Betis fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Reynaldo Martxel in the 90thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Amadeo Pasqual, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Reynaldo Martxel who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 96thth minute tested the skills of Amadeo Pasqual when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Arequito AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
