The audience thought a goal was coming when Edwin Cardona got free with Severino Lucero in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 18 minutes into the match, Edwin Cardona notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Yupandú FC's Severino Lucero. Severino Lucero was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Yupandú FC's Severino Lucero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Yupandú FC from getting a goal against them. Severino Lucero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raul Fliz in the 22nd minute of play. After having played for 24 minutes, Raul Fliz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guaymallén's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raul Fliz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rareș Dobrea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Tolino, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. When Leopoldo Eusko fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Yupandú FC's protests and gave Leopoldo Eusko a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Yupandú FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Leopoldo Eusko hit a great ball. Edwin Cardona could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Severino Lucero made a huge save. In a very dangerous position, a player in Yupandú FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 44th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 45 minutes, Guaymallén's Moises Oroitz got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Severino Lucero.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lino Laurendi was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the game, Vladimiro Ignatius cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Severino Lucero was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Raul Fliz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raul Fliz in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Severino Lucero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Yupandú FC's Hugo Quinito got a free kick in the 68th minute. Edwin Cardona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edwin Cardona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edwin Cardona took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Severino Lucero. Severino Lucero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Emanuel Tolino struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Rareș Dobrea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yupandú FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fulgencio Gotzon in the 83rd minute of play forced Yupandú FC's goalkeeper Severino Lucero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Edwin Cardona managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guaymallén's supporters rose to their feet, but Edwin Cardona was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Severino Lucero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edwin Cardona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severino Lucero having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Fulgencio Gotzon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guaymallén's supporters rose to their feet, but Fulgencio Gotzon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Severino Lucero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hugo Quinito hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Guaymallén had played much better football throughout.
