In the 8th minute, MobyDick FC's Fermin Joanes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gilberto Matro. Gilberto Matro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Manuel Sagrario charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Manuel Sagrario the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Redonditos de Riquelme's Manuel Sagrario got a free kick in the 15th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as MobyDick FC's Marcos Diagur slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gilberto Matro. That made the score 2-0 after 16 minutes of play. A collision led to Redonditos de Riquelme getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Manuel Sagrario hit a great ball. The attack was good, but when Marcos Diagur in the 24th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Gilberto Matro acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 27th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Roman Ortzi. In the 28th match minute, Redonditos de Riquelme was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paolo Santo to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcos Diagur got free with Gilberto Matro in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Hernan Nofre fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Redonditos de Riquelme's protests and gave Hernan Nofre a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Redonditos de Riquelme's Hernan Nofre got a free kick in the 39th minute. Marcos Diagur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Matro having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcos Diagur to make the kick off. With a little luck, MobyDick FC's Ladislao Sugar got control of the ball when Fernando Eder tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marcos Diagur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Gilberto Matro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 63 minutes into the match, Redonditos de Riquelme's goal looked a bit too open when Fermin Joanes came free, but Gilberto Matro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute of the match Leopoldo Elivareo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gilberto Matro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ladislao Sugar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paolo Santo in the 71st minute of play. Santos Inautzi took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ladislao Sugar. Ladislao Sugar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. A collision led to MobyDick FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Alejo Ferran hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in MobyDick FC's zone, Ladislao Beltran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ladislao Sugar came out of the goal and Ladislao Beltran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcos Diagur recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gilberto Matro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcos Diagur went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Redonditos de Riquelme's Gilberto Matro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fermin Joanes in the 95th minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, MobyDick FC's Marcos Diagur sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gilberto Matro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Redonditos de Riquelme players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for MobyDick FC.
