Spectators: 6922 (Terracing: 5422, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Marcos Diagur started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd match minute, MobyDick FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leopoldo Elivareo to maneuver through the defense. After 5 minutes, Benigno Godoy mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gimnasia y Esgrima Mdza and the MobyDick FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 6th minute, Benigno Godoy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 8th minute Marcos Diagur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernan Playo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Florentino Bernabel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Ladislao Sugar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th minute Marcos Diagur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernan Playo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ildefonso Laurin charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ildefonso Laurin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of MobyDick FC booed when Gimnasia y Esgrima Mdza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ildefonso Laurin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcos Diagur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Fernan Playo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Marcos Diagur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernan Playo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rosendo Baudelio in the 35th minute of play. Marcos Diagur blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fernan Playo having to make a save. A collision led to MobyDick FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Leopoldo Elivareo hit a great ball. If Marcos Diagur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fermin Joanes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 54th match minute, Gimnasia y Esgrima Mdza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardino Peli to maneuver through the defense. Marcos Diagur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Fernan Playo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcos Diagur could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Fernan Playo made a huge save. In the 65th minute, MobyDick FC's Fermin Joanes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fermin Joanes in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fernan Playo saved Gimnasia y Esgrima Mdza from getting behind. Marcos Diagur in the 73rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fernan Playo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Marcos Diagur could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Fernan Playo made a huge save. Ladislao Sugar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florentino Bernabel in the 76th minute of play. Marcos Diagur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernan Playo having to interfere. Fernan Playo had great luck who in the 82ndth minute grab hold of the ball when Fermin Joanes from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Fermin Joanes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Fernan Playo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute of the match MobyDick FC got a corner. Gimnasia y Esgrima Mdza's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Leopoldo Elivareo ran over to the corner to take the kick. MobyDick FC's Leopoldo Elivareo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Fernan Playo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Alejo Ferran hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Aaron Turi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ladislao Sugar having to interfere. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gimnasia y Esgrima Mdza's goalkeeper Fernan Playo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Gimnasia y Esgrima Mdza's zone, Marcos Diagur stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernan Playo came out of the goal and Marcos Diagur tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
