Gavino Fortun's late challenge caught a Gimnasia y Esgrima Mdza's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gavino Fortun helped the player get up and apologised. The long shot by Benigno Godoy in the 94th minute really tested Gogo George's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see shitanemFC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
