The crowd rose to their feet as Redonditos de Riquelme's Hernan Nofre slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Raimundo Ignazio. That made the score 2-0 after 35 minutes of play. After a defensive mix-up in Redonditos de Riquelme's zone, Eustaquio Teofilio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilberto Matro came out of the goal and Eustaquio Teofilio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 40 minutes, Iker Bidari managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Anjullan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iker Bidari was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hernan Nofre during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hernan Nofre to make the kick off.
