Ivan Beltza was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lázaro Rufo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 24 minute of play. The referee ignored Rueda's protests and gave Fabricio Viviano a yellow card for diving instead. After 64 played minutes Rueda got a freekick which was hit by Fabricio Viviano. After having played for 65 minutes, Americo Roldan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mechita's supporters crossed their fingers, but Americo Roldan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
