Americo Ursino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Homero's Baldomiro Matro got a free kick in the 8th minute. Americo Roldan kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 18thth minute of the game Dario Ticho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mechita's Ivan Beltza was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Dario Ticho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 26 minutes of play, Homero's Isidoro Gizon made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ivan Beltza was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dario Ticho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Juan Hunfredo charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juan Hunfredo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Dario Ticho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Homero's Dario Ticho got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Isidoro Gizon came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Homero fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isidoro Gizon couldn't finish the play. Pedro Rodas had several of the Homero's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 44 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Americo Ursino as he didn't even see the shot coming. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Isidoro Gizon was the one to do the kick off. Juan Hunfredo kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Americo Roldan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mechita's supporters rose to their feet, but Americo Roldan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Americo Ursino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Americo Roldan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dario Ticho got free with Ivan Beltza in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Homero's goalkeeper Americo Ursino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 80 minutes into the match, Mechita's goalkeeper Ivan Beltza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dario Ticho. In the 81st minute, Isidoro Gizon reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ivan Beltza. The goal made the score 1-2. Isidoro Gizon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ivan Beltza having to make a save. With a little luck, Mechita's Ivan Beltza got control of the ball when Dario Ticho tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 95th minute, Pedro Rodas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mechita fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
