The audience was convinced that Haroldo Eli's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Albino Lidon was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Haroldo Eli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Huase FC's Lucho Gay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ladislao Ponce in the 45th minute of play. If Angel Lucero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Angel Lucero to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Carmelo Goizeder managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Piedra's supporters rose to their feet, but Carmelo Goizeder was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lucho Gay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carmelo Goizeder struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Lucho Gay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Piedra. Angel Lucero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Emanuel Vigil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Albino Lidon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 64 minutes into the match, Ladislao Ponce had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lucho Gay. Huase FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ladislao Ponce was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Haroldo Eli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albino Lidon having to interfere. If Emanuel Vigil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carmelo Goizeder during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Huase FC booed when La Piedra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carmelo Goizeder didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Haroldo Eli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albino Lidon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haroldo Eli, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Lucho Gay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angel Lucero in the 82nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristo Mirande in the 83rd minute of play forced La Piedra's goalkeeper Albino Lidon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vedillo kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. In the 85th minute, Sebastian Jeraldo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 86th minute, Ladislao Ponce left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The La Piedra fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Cristo Mirande fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albino Lidon having to interfere. Haroldo Eli struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Albino Lidon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Huase FC. When the final whistle went the supporters of La Piedra were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Huase FC side.
